Privacy Policy

In our work, we often come into contact with sensitive and confidential client data. This may include trade secrets, personal data, or even data relating to operational security. When processing an inquiry/ assignment, Ehrhard-Dolmetschen collects a range of personal data, which we need in order to be able to fulfil the assignment. Only data that is absolutely necessary for the fulfilment of the contract is stored. Ehrhard-Dolmetschen collects and uses personal data from the enquirer/ client/ organizer exclusively within the framework of the provisions of the applicable data protection law of the Federal Republic of Germany. Ehrhard-Dolmetschen collects, processes, and uses the following information:

Form of address, first name, last name, a valid email address, postal address, telephone number (landline and/ or mobile), as well as other information necessary for the processing of any performance or warranty claims that may arise and for the assertion of any claims against the client.

The data is collected in order to be able to identify the enquirer/ client/ organizer as a customer, to be able to provide the inquired service properly and promptly, for invoicing, and for the processing and assertion of mutual claims. Data processing is carried out at the request of the client and is necessary for the purposes mentioned in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

Below, we would like to inform you about the processing of personal and personally identifiable data on our website in accordance with the GDPR, the BDSG, and the TMG.

How do we collect your data?   

Your data is collected when you provide it to us. This may include, for example, data that you send to our e-mail address.

Other data is automatically collected by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page view). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter our website.

What do we use your data for?   

Some of the data is collected to ensure that the website is provided without errors. Other data may be used to analyse your user behaviour.

For technical security reasons, in particular to defend against attempts to attack our web server, we store this data temporarily using technical aids.

The personal data collected by Ehrhard-Dolmetschen for order processing will be stored until the expiry of the statutory retention period and then routinely deleted, provided that it is no longer required for the fulfilment or initiation of a contract and/ or Ehrhard-Dolmetschen has a legitimate interest in continuing to store it. If the exercise of intervention rights requires deletion, the data concerned will be deleted immediately.

Insofar as this is necessary for the processing of the order in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, personal data of the client/ organiser will be passed on to third parties. This includes, in particular, the transfer of data to a subcontractor of Ehrhard-Dolmetschen. The data passed on may only be used by the third party for the purposes specified. Otherwise, data will only be passed on to third parties with the consent of the client/organiser.

What rights do you have with regard to your data?

You have the right at any time to

– revoke your consent to Ehrhard-Dolmetschen at any time in accordance with Art. 7 (3) GDPR. As a result, Ehrhard-Dolmetschen may no longer continue the data processing based on this consent in the future;

– to request information about the personal data processed by Ehrhard-Dolmetschen in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR. In particular, you may request information about the purposes of processing, the category of personal data being processed, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, if possible the planned storage period or, if this is not possible, the criteria for determining the duration, the existence of a right to rectification, deletion, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right of appeal to a supervisory authority, the available information on the origin of your data, if this was not collected by Ehrhard-Dolmetschen, and the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling and, where applicable, meaningful information about its details;

– to request the immediate rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal data stored by Ehrhard-Dolmetschen in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR;

– pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR, to request the immediate erasure of your personal data stored by Ehrhard-Dolmetschen, unless processing is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims; 

– to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR if you dispute the accuracy of the data, the processing is unlawful, but you refuse to have it deleted, Ehrhard-Dolmetschen no longer needs the data, but the client needs it to assert, exercise or defend legal claims, or he has lodged an objection to the processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR;

– pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR, to receive the personal data you have provided to Ehrhard-Dolmetschen in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request its transfer to another controller;

– pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR, to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for data protection issues is the state data protection officer of the federal state in which Ehrhard-Dolmetschen is based. If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, provided that there are reasons for this arising from your particular situation.

Analysis tools and third-party tools

When you visit our website, your surfing behaviour may be statistically analysed. This is done primarily with cookies and so-called analysis programmes. The analysis of your surfing behaviour is usually anonymous; the surfing behaviour cannot be traced back to you. You can object to this analysis or prevent it by not using certain tools. We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

SSL or TLS encryption   

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from ‘http://’ to ‘https://’ and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Objection to advertising emails              

We hereby object to the use of contact data published within the scope of the imprint obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example through spam emails.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

– Operating system used

– Referrer URL

– Host name of the accessing computer

– Time of the server request

– IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Processing of data (customer and contract data)   

We collect, process and use personal data only to the extent necessary for the establishment, content or modification of the legal relationship. This is done on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures. We collect, process and use personal data relating to the use of our website (usage data) only to the extent necessary to enable the user to use the service or to bill for it.

The customer data collected will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Browser settings

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, provided that your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Due to the further development of the website and the expansion and/ or restriction of our services and offers and/ or due to changes in legal or regulatory requirements, it may be necessary to amend this privacy policy. Ehrhard-Dolmetschen has put in place technical and organisational security measures to protect data, in particular against loss, manipulation or unauthorised access. Ehrhard-Dolmetschen regularly adapts its security measures to ongoing technical developments.
