Laura Ehrhard – your reliable partner for conference interpreting and translating
Being a conference interpreter and translator, languages are more to me than a mere tool I need for my daily work, they are my passion. Honing my linguistic skills, perfecting my working languages German and English, improving my linguistic style and enriching my vocabulary – I strive to learn as much as I can about the languages I’m working with, but also about the cultures behind those languages.
The best way to achieve that? Travelling regularly, within Germany and to English-speaking countries.
And if I feel like my head is spinning from it all, I enjoy ballroom dancing, playing the violin and piano or spending time with my dog Laarni in order to recharge.

You can’t find what you are looking for? No worries – being a conference interpreter, I enjoy the challenge to familiarise myself with new and exciting fields to work in.
Being a member of the professional associations BDÜ and VKD, I am working on increasing the visibility of our profession and informing the public of translators, interpreters and the work they do.
In 2024 I became 2. chair of the Baden-Württemberg division of BDÜ. In that position, I’ve been representing the translators in the region and shaping the future of our profession.
Before that, I was part of the PR team for BDÜ Baden-Württemberg and for VKD.
