Being an English \u2013 German conference interpreter<\/b> and translator<\/b>, languages are more to me than a mere tool I need for my daily work, they are my passion.<\/p>

Honing my linguistic skills, perfecting both of my working languages – German and English<\/b>, improving my linguistic style and enriching my vocabulary – I strive to learn as much as I can about the languages I’m working with, but also about the cultures behind those languages.<\/p>

The best way to achieve that? Travelling regularly, within Germany and to English-speaking countries.<\/p>

As a member of the professional associations BD\u00dc<\/a> and VKD<\/a>, I\u2019m working on increasing the visibility<\/b> of our profession and informing the public of translators, interpreters and the work they do.\u00a0<\/p>

In 2024<\/b> I became 2. chair of the Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg division of BD\u00dc<\/b>. In that position, I’ve been representing the translators in the region and shaping the future of our profession<\/b>.<\/p>

Before that, I was part of the PR team<\/b> for BD\u00dc Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg and for VKD.<\/p>
